Captains Day – Sunday 16th August- at 2PM 36 Hole Strokeplay Competition – Ladies and Gents– Entry €10
Weekly Competitions in August 2020
Monday Evenings Scramble – This will be an 18 hole Competition for Aug. Names in the clubhouse by 6.55 PM each evening. Tee off 7PM. Entry €5. This is a very suitable format for anyone who is new to Pitch and Putt as you will be sent out in a team of three and all of the team then plays from the position of the best ball each time. Open to Ladies & Gents
Wednesday Ladies Night commences at 7PM, 18 Hole Scramble – Entry €3
Thursday Night Strokeplay. Tee off 7PM Sharp. 18 Hole Strokeplay Competition. Entry €5 – Open to ladies and gents
Thursday & Friday 20& 21st August– 6PM both nights- Last 16 matches for the matchplay.
Weekend 36 Hole Competition– There will usually be two tee times. Sat 1PM, Sun 10AM. A draw will be held for playing partners. The game will alternate between Strokeplay, Stableford & V Par each week. Entry €5- Open to Ladies and Gents. These are all singles competitions with dates as follows –
Sat/Sun 1st & 2nd August -1PM Sat & 10AM Sun- V Par – 36 Holes
Sat/Sun 8th & 9th August –1PM Sat & 10AM Sun – Stableford – 36 Holes
Sat 15th August- Course will close from 12 noon to prepare for Captains Day
Sunday 16th August- 2nd Major of Season Captains Day– Please support your Ladies and Gents Captains- Anne Hegarty. & Sean Darcy.
Sat 22nd August- Course will be closed until 5PM for a large visiting society.
Sun 23rd August – 10AM– V Par 36 Holes
Sat 29th August – Course closed from 12 Noon – To prepare for National Strokeplay Qualifying.
Sunday 30th August – National Strokeplay Qualifying for Meath County – Entry Sheet on wall in Clubhouse. Neat Dress is essential. If you are not playing why not drop down and see some of own members competing against some of the best players in the county.
Call for help- If anybody is around on either Saturday 15th August to help us prepare the club and course for Captains Day or on Saturday 29th to help prepare the course for the National Strokeplay Qualifying it would be much appreciated.
We would love to see as many members as possible playing in all of the competitions. Don’t worry if you are only new to the game – that is why we all have handicaps. Handicaps will be posted on the board in the clubhouse.
